The table below shows estimated insurance rates for popular Chevrolet vehicles. Other models are linked at the bottom of this page
Rates assume current model year, a 40-year-old male driver with no accidents or violations, $500 comprehensive and collision deductibles, minimum liability limits, and uninsured/under-insured motorist coverage included. Rates are for comparison only and are averaged for all 50 U.S. states.
The chart above uses the data from all Chevrolet vehicles in the above table to showcase how different rating information can affect car insurance prices.
Car insurance rates for a Chevrolet can vary considerably based on the trim level of your Volt, your driving characteristics, and physical damage deductibles and liability limits.
An older driver with no driving violations and high physical damage deductibles may only pay around $1,400 every 12 months on average for full coverage. Rates are highest for teen drivers, where even without any violations or accidents they will be charged in the ballpark of $5,300 a year.
If you like to drive fast or you caused a few accidents, you are likely paying anywhere from $1,700 to $2,300 extra per year, depending on your age. High-risk driver insurance is expensive and can cost around 43% to 130% more than average.
Choosing high deductibles can reduce rates by up to $630 a year, while increasing your policy's liability limits will push rates upward. Changing from a 50/100 bodily injury limit to a 250/500 limit will cost as much as $335 extra every 12 months
Where you live also has a big influence on Chevrolet insurance rates. A middle-age driver might find rates as low as $1,120 a year in states like Vermont, New Hampshire, and Missouri, or as much as $2,090 on average in Louisiana, Montana, and Michigan.
