Rates assume current model year, a 40-year-old male driver with no accidents or violations, $500 comprehensive and collision deductibles, minimum liability limits, and uninsured/under-insured motorist coverage included. Rates are for comparison only and are averaged for all 50 U.S. states.
The prior chart uses the data from all GMC vehicles listed in the table above to demonstrate how variations in coverage can impact auto insurance prices.
Insurance rates for a GMC range considerably based on the model year and trim level, your driving record, and policy deductibles and limits.
A more mature driver with a clean driving record and high physical damage deductibles could pay as little as $1,400 annually on average, or $117 per month, for full coverage. Prices are highest for teenagers, where even without any violations or accidents they can expect to pay upwards of $5,500 a year.
If you have a few points on your driving record or you caused a few accidents, you may be forking out at a minimum $1,800 to $2,400 extra every year, depending on your age. GMC insurance for high-risk drivers ranges anywhere from 44% to 133% more than the average rate.
Opting for high physical damage deductibles can save as much as $660 each year, whereas buying more liability protection will cost you more. Moving from a 50/100 bodily injury limit to a 250/500 limit will raise rates by up to $335 more per year
Your home state plays a big part in determining prices for GMC insurance rates. A good driver about age 40 could pay as low as $1,090 a year in states like New Hampshire, Ohio, and Utah, or at least $1,990 on average in New Jersey, Michigan, and Montana.
